Lesotho’s Results Since 2011

Moving forward? Likuena's Mabuti Potloane

In the beginning of 2010 the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) made a decision to remove the senior national team from competition. LeFA’s decision came after Serbian Zaviša Milosavljević was sacked as Likuena coach towards the end of 2009 after two years in charge.

LeFA said it wanted to start afresh and build a new national team.  Likuena were out of international action from October 2009 until September 2011.

When Likuena were reinstated the new team was taken over by Leslie Notši.

Notši had led Lesotho’s Under-20 side to the 2011 CAF African U-20 Championship earlier in the year. In the beginning of 2014, Notši left his post to take charge of Mthatha Bucks in South Africa.

In February 2014, Seephephe Matete was appointed Likuena coach on a caretaker basis. He remained in the position until November 2015 when he was replaced by Moses Maliehe.

In total, Lesotho has played 54 games since 2011. Likuena has nine wins, 18 draws and 27 losses in those matches.
