Bantu head into LNIG Top 8 top of the league

Top of the charts... Bantu
Bantu will head into this coming weekend’s LNIG Top 8 on top of the Vodacom Premier League after a last minute 1-0 win over Rovers on Saturday. Bantu’s hero on the day was Itumeleng Falene who scored in the dying moments against a plucky Rovers side.

Until that point it was a frustrating afternoon for ‘A MatÅ¡o Matebele’ as Rovers seemed poised to cost them two valuable points.

Bantu had to win to stay on top because Lioli and Kick4Life continued their relentless chase with wins over LMPS and Likhopo respectively.

Lioli were irresistible again as they cruised to a 2-0 win over LMPS at PTC on Saturday. Tse Nala’s goals came courtesy of Tumelo Khutlang and Lekhanya Lekhanya and it was only LMPS’s second defeat of the season at home. Meanwhile, Kick4Life beat Likhopo 2-1 thanks to goals from Morapeli Lesoetsa and Thabiso Brown to stay third and one point behind Bantu.

The weekend’s action also an incredible score-line as Matlama demolished Butha-Buthe Warriors 8-0 on Sunday. It was a free-for-all and Matlama striker Motebang Sera took advantage by scoring a hattrick.
