Uefa Champions League draw

Chelsea and Manchester United will face off in an all English Uefa Champions League quarter-final in the pick of the ties from today’s draw. It will be the first time they meet in Europe since that 2008 final in Moscow which United won on penalties.

Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham were given Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid as a reward for knocking out AC Milan in the last round.

Holders Inter Milan will face Schalke while everybody’s favourites Barcelona have been given a favourable tie against dark horses Shakhtar. The winner of Chelsea and United’s tie will face either Inter or Schalke in the semi-finals, while Madrid, Tottenham, Barcelona and Shakhtar share the other highway to the final.

The first legs of the quarterfinals will be played on April 5 and 6 with the return legs taking place a week later. Let’s go.
