Copa America: Argentina Squad

Lionel Messi

Argentina kicks off the 2011 edition of the Copa America later on today against Bolivia in La Plata.
Argentina, hosts for this year’s tournament, is many people’s favourite to win a record 15th Copa America and have certainly picked a more balanced squad than that which took part at the 2010 Fifa World Cup.
The experienced and ever consistent Javier Zanetti is in the squad this time around along with his Inter Milan teammates Esteban Cambiasso and Diego Milito.
The forward line meanwhile comprises the who’s who of world football from Carlos Tevez to Sergio Aguero, and is spearheaded by the man himself, Lionel Messi.
After playing Bolivia tonight Argentina also faces Colombia and Costa Rica in Group A.
