The craziest thing to come of
last weekend was the fact that Maduma will probably get relegated when the league concludes this weekend, despite
reaching the Vodacom Soccer Spectacular semi-finals and starting the season so
well.
Maduma
were praised, rightly so, for their confidence and the freshness they brought
to the league. The Khukhune side were second in the Vodacom Premier League at
some point, and looking good for at least a top half finish. But such is the
craziness of the Lesotho Premiership, now with only 12 teams, that Maduma are
likely to go down when the league season concludes tomorrow.
It
will take a miracle to keep Maduma up. It’s highly unlikely. Maduma need
to win and hope Likhopo suffer a huge a defeat, such is their inferior goal difference. In the race for a top four place, the race is between Matlama, Bantu and Lioli for the last two spots.
