Lesotho’s Motlokoa Nkhabutlane is the 2015 winner of the prestigious Two Oceans marathon ultra-distance after a stunning run in Cape Town this morning.

Nkhabutlane completed the 56 kilometre course in a time of 3 hours, 10 minutes and 27 seconds (3:10:27), more than two minutes ahead of second-placed Collen Makhaza.

Another Lesotho runner, Moeketsi Mosuhli, completed the top three finishing in a time of 3:13:44.

Caroline Wostmann won the women’s ultra-marathon race ahead of Nina Podnebesnova.

Lesotho also enjoyed success in the men’s half-marathon race where Lesotho-born Stephen Mokoka won his third title in a row in a time of 1:04:00.  Lebogang Phalula won the women’s event. Nkhabutlane’s win continued Lesotho’s stranglehold on the self-proclaimed world’s most beautiful marathon circuit. Last year’s winner was Lesotho’s Lebenya Nkoka.
