Liphakoe
struggling to score goals
Liphakoe suffered a 3-0 defeat to Linare
on Satuday that will be concerning. The Quthing side has been valiant this term since
their promotion from the first division. They held giants Bantu to a goalless draw at home and until Saturday had lost just once in six games. The only problem; Liphakoe had only managed two goals in six games. That record
is now two goals in seven games and, although they are
brave, their anaemic attack looks like the one thing that will hold them back this season.
Liphakoe have lacked the quality required to unlock
defences at this level and Saturday was another day when their attack failed to pose a threat. Liphakoe's
loss was Linare’s gain, of course. Former Lesotho
Under-20 international Lebajoa Mosehlanyane
grabbed a hattrick in a lively display. Linare will need his goals. Liphakoe, on the other hand, just need goals from anywhere if
they are to have any hopes of surviving.
Likila
United have hit form
At this time last month Likila were struggling and did not have a win to
their name. They had lost two of their opening three games and looked distinctly average. But, then, at the end of September Likila
were then handed a 3-0 win over Mphatlalatsane for
a game on August 29 that was cancelled because
Mphatlalatsane forgot their player licenses.

Sandawana
enjoying life after Freeze
Sandawana have started life after
Lehlohonolo “Freeze” Ntene quite well. Ntene
was sacked as coach three weeks ago by club-owner and famous traditional
healer, ‘Thato “Sandawana” Nkone, after a slow start to the season. Ntene was
replaced by his assistant Bob Mafoso. In their first game after Ntene’s departure
Sandawana beat LDF 1-0. They made it two wins from two since with a 2-0 win
over struggling LMPS on Sunday. The pair of wins, Sandawana only victories of
the season, has lifted them to ninth place. Like their Butha-Buthe neighbours
Likila, Sandawana are in a much better place than they were a few weeks ago.
