Lesotho played
to a 0-0 draw with Comoros on Wednesday in the first leg of the sides' preliminary
2018 World Cup qualifier. The match was played at the Stade De Beaumer in the
Comoros capital city of Moroni.
Likuena ended
the game with 10-men after goalkeeper Mohau Kuenane was red carded in the 84th
minute for handling outside of the penalty box.
However, his
dismissal had no bearing on the final score. The goalless result gives Lesotho
a slight advantage heading into the second leg.
The second leg
is scheduled for next week Tuesday at Sestoto Stadium. Kickoff will be at
18:00.

Moitheri Ntobo
was handed the captain’s armband in his first match back since he retired from
international football last year after Lesotho's failed 2015 Africa Cup of
Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign. He partnered Nkau Lerotholi in central
defence.
Because of Kuenane’s
dismissal his understudy Sam Ketsekile will most likely be between in goals
when the sides meet in the return leg. The winner will face Ghana in the next round.
