Lesotho
Correctional Services (LCS) have been crowned Vodacom Premier League champions
for the second consecutive year after claiming a 2-0 victory over Joy in Leribe
this afternoon. The win in Hlotse means Masheshena
have an unassilable seven-point lead at the top of the league, with just
two games to play.

LCS now have 41 points while Lesotho Defence Force (LDF),
their closest challengers, only have 34 points.
The win caps what has
been a perfect month for LCS. Masheshena
were the only team to collect six points in the Easter weekend fixtures,
beating Majantja 3-2 and Mpharane Celtics 1-0. They then followed that up by
grabbing a vital point against Bantu last weekend in Mafeteng, to end A Matšo Matebele’s title challenge.
Elsehwere in the
Vodacom Premier League, Majantja were yesterday relegated after just one season
back in the top-flight, after they were held to a goalles draw at home by
Mpharane Celtics.
There are two more
rounds to go in the season with places still very much up for grabs in the top four
race, while the relegation dogfight is set to go down to the last day.
