| The Rugby Independence Championship could be decided this weekend |
Maseru Warriors
will be crowned the inaugural Lesotho Rugby Independence Championship champions
if they beat NUL Spears on Saturday.
The
match will be played in Mazenod and starts at 15:00.
Warriors
are unbeaten in the Championship and are top of the five-team league table. A
win over NUL Spears would give them an unassailable lead at the top of the log
standings.
The
Lesotho Rugby Independence Championship was introduced by the Federation of
Lesotho Rugby in September to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the country’s
independence.
The
teams contesting the four-team championship are Warriors, NUL Spears, Mabote
Beavers and LCS Lioalaoala. The Lesotho Rugby Independence Championship will
end on December 3.
