Kick4Life too strong for Bantu, top Vodacom Premier League

Match winner... Thabiso Brown
Kick4Life’s magical start to the 2016/17 Vodacom Premier League season continued with a 1-0 win over Bantu on Saturday afternoon at the LCS Stadium. The win gives Kick4Life sole possession of first place in the league.

Kick4Life’s winner came courtesy of a first half penalty from Thabiso Brown. The match, however, was marred by ugly scenes as Bantu supporters attacked match officials after the match.

In the day’s early kick-off, LMPS continued their unbeaten start to the campaign with a 1-0 win over Butha-Buthe Warriors at the Maputsoe DiFA Stadium. Thanks to Bantu’s defeat, LMPS leapfrog into second place.

Semunye’s winner was scored by Basia Makepe. Makepe, who captained Lioli to the title last season, then teamed up with Nkau Lerotholi to keep LMPS’ fourth clean-sheet in four successive games.

In the second game of the double header at the Maputsoe DiFA Stadium, Sundawana and LCS played to a goalless draw. After finishing fourth last season, Sundawana are still looking for their first win of the season. LCS moved up to fourth with the result, five points behind early leaders Kick4Life.
